Analysis of existing curricula, educational practices and relevant data provides the initial framework for understanding the topic.

A survey of teachers provides broader insight into their views, experiences and educational needs.

Interviews and focus groups
Qualitative discussions with teachers, institutions and stakeholders deepen understanding of practical challenges and opportunities.

Testing educational media
A quasi-experiment in schools is used to evaluate the effectiveness of new teaching materials and media.
